Rescheduling:
1.) Appointment times that have been confirmed, paid for and reserved through the online scheduling system are eligible to be rescheduled with a $60 rescheduling fee applied. Unfortunately, we are unable to reschedule appointment times for free. This allows John Of All Trades to ensure that available time slots are able to be filled and to provide the best possible experience to all clients. Thank you so much for your understanding of this policy.

How does John Of All Trades charge for services?
- John Of All Trades charges by the hour for minor home repairs, so feel free to book as much or as little time as you need (Minimum of 2 hours). The only flat-rate service charges are for TV mounting services and related add-ons, drywall repair and in-person/virtural consulations.
- If extra time is needed to complete your project, any additional time will be billed by the hour.
How does John Of All Trades charge for supplies?
- Supplies are charged for at cost. If supplies need to be procured before your appointment, you will be charged only for the amount of time needed to purchase those supplies plus the cost of supplies. However, you may wish to purchase your own supplies, in which case, you will not be charged any additional time costs.
When does my appointment officially start?
- In order to be fair to all clients (and John), the official start time for your appointment begins upon arrival at the appointment address. John will do his best to confirm the start time with you before beginning any work.
What other charges can I expect?
-Sometimes, depending on the location of your appointment, it may be necessary for John Of All Trades to charge for parking (ie. in Center City Philadelphia). If you have specific parking instructions, please be sure to include them while booking your appointment or email us after you’ve booked your appointment.
What happens if John needs to reschedule my appointment?
- In some cases, John may need to reschedule your appointment due to illness, weather related issues or other unforeseen factors/circumstances. In the event that your appointment needs to be rescheduled, John will make every attempt to reschedule your appointment with you. This will happen free from any additional charges.
Are there things that John won’t do?
- The short answer is, Yes. Please be sure to list all repairs/requests/installations/etc. beforehand through the booking process. Although John will make every attempt to accommodate “day-of” requests, he can not guarantee the completion of non-listed requests same-day. If a “day-of” request can not be acccommodated, John may ask that another appointment be made.
Addtionally, John Of All Trades will NOT hang/mount any item/framed picture with any wall strip adhesive product. An example of this includes, but is not limited to, 3M Command Strips.
Does John Of All Trades do larger renovation projects?
- Yes! We do nearly all large scale renovation projects. To inquire, please book an appointment under “Virtual Consultation” and we can discuss your project in further detail. This will include a written estimate for your project which will be emailed to you.
